Scholarship

The Tyler Branch of AAUW offers up to five scholarships worth $1500 each. Eligible female students may apply for one of the following four scholarships:

High School - graduating seniors from Smith County public school

Tyler Junior College - graduating sophomores continuing their education at a four-yearl college or university

Proven Scholar - TJC, Texas College and UT Tyler students with at least 30 hours of college credit

Virginia Skeen Clark Scholarship - TJC or UT Tyler students who are working, single mothers pursuing undergraduate college degrees

Branch members in good standing for at least three years may apply for the Dorothy Scott Scholarship of $1000 to continue her education, branch out into a new field, earn additional certification, or engage in another form of education to enrich her life.

All completed applications and attachments must be postmarked by March 1, 2009. Please print out the Criteria Sheet and appropriate application from below. Contact Jan Moch for more information.
